Ardalan

Tickets!

Born in Tehran, Ardalan found himself gravitating towards an unlikely passion for music at an early age. Enamored first by traditional Iranian music and classic jazz and rock, Ardalan’s taste began to transform with his childhood years spent moving back and forth from Iran and California. With each intercontinental return, Ardalan grew his treasure trove of mixtapes filled with rare musical gems like gangsta rap, Italo disco, and movie and video game soundtracks –the best of the West.

Naturally, when he permanently returned to California in 2006, his distinct taste in music drew him towards long-lasting friendships, which were born through exchanges of mixtape gold and out seeking underground excursions. Ardalan became a regular of the underground scene in the Bay Area, absorbing the sounds of house and techno from the likes of Solar and Galen at the legendary Sunset Sound System parties, and it wasn’t long before he was hooked. Full of his signature charm, spark of energy, and an insatiable curiosity for left-of-center music, soon he found his way to a fateful BBQ in San Francisco, a legendary party that is largely known as the origin story lore of the Dirtybird crew. Immediately, the crew took to young Ardy like family.

Then came “Mr. Spock.” Call it beginner’s luck, or more likely, a sign of what was to come – in 2010, Ardalan shared one of his earliest studio explorations with Justin Martin, which became the foundation for the breakout hit. “Mr. Spock,” in its bizarre and booty-shaking glory, has been accredited as one of the “tracks that made Dirtybird famous,” helping to define the label’s now darling reputation as a trusted source of ridiculous, off-the-wall dance floor bangers. Since, he’s continued to translate his deep-rooted connection to the dance floor in the studio with remixes on Toy Tonics, Play It Down, Yoshitoshi, and Dirtybird.

A decade later, Ardy is a favored act on line-ups who trust in his ability to fire up a crowd with his DJ prowess and ability to make eclectic selections feel right at home on the dance floor. He’s played at Coachella, Dirtybird Campout, CRSSD, Secret Garden, Desert Hearts and at esteemed venues like Space Miami, New York’s Output, and Detroit’s TV Lounge.

Next, Ardalan sets his sights on defining his own sound in the studio with the release of his debut album, Mr. Good. He’s set out to push his reputation as a musical chameleon to the limits with his record; a powerful melding of tough, jarring beats with lush melodies. Equally rowdy as it is introspective, it’s safe to say that like Ardalan himself, there’s nothing out there like Mr. Good.

DJ Holographic

DJ Holographic

Tickets!

Holographic is a funky force of joy. She is a leading woman of the next generation of the Detroit dance music underground, and brings that potent energy with her wherever she goes.

The DJ/producer was born-and-raised in Detroit on a rich musical diet of Motown, R&B, Rock, and House. Born Ariel Corley, her artist name was inspired by Star Trek’s Holodeck, a mirror to society, a manifestation of human divineness, and a transporter of different realities into different spaces. She brings intention to everything she does, and when she steps behind the decks you feel her unconditional love as she channels the energy of the crowd and the seasons, curating a soundtrack of house, funk, nu-disco, techno and beyond to suit and elevate the vibe.

Corley has filled many a hallowed space with her resonant sound over the past 13 years. Since cutting her teeth in the certified underground of Detroit’s warehouses, she’s played four Movements, along with enviable bookings at other beloved clubs and festivals around the world, from Tomorrowland to OFFSónar. 2022 was a banner year with many firsts, including a successful Australian tour and Coachella debut. Swedish House Mafia offered her to open seven of their stadium shows, and she toured North America and Europe several times over. She’s a regular DJ at Berlin’s famed Panorama Bar and played their 2023 New Year’s Eve party, clocking in four shows there in 2022.

The love, intimacy and realness she brings to her shows has won her a diverse, devoted fanbase across the globe, and this connection is what ignites and fuels her. “I enjoy being able to interact with my crowd musically and emotionally,” she explains. Her upbeat sound and boundless joy can fill any space, and she feels most at home in intimate spaces akin to Detroit warehouse parties. She celebrates the culture she’s building together with her audience and fellow like-hearted DJs, a continuation of techno’s Detroit origins.

Techno forefather Carl Craig tapped her to curate Detroit Love Vol. 5 in 2021, the compilation album series on his iconic independent label Planet E Communications. The album is a vibey celebration of Detroit-based and Detroit-loving artists, and a sampling of the type of tunesCorley might listen to on the journey before, during and after a show. It got a nod from DJ Magfor 2022 Best Compilation and came with a vibrant, classic house-nodding DJ Holographic original, “Faith in My Cup,” featuring Apropos’ warm vocals. Her first release came in 2020, a playful, funky three-track EP donning her filtered voice, Parallel Shifting.

Corley’s been working on new music and is excited to share it in 2023. She’s been clearing space for unbridled creativity, to find the depth of her voice and sound as a producer. She’s been taking voice lessons and found the instrument she most connects with, an Akai MPC. Like music, she’s found solace in astrology, using it as a tool for healing and to discover all facets of herself. She’s surprised by some of the darker sounds she’s been making, ala early GreenVelvet, and feels it could be from her Scorpio rising. Her sun sign is Sagittarius, the free-spirited adventurer and intellectual, quite fitting for a globe-trotting DJ well-studied in music, community building and anthropology. The time to enter the world of DJ Holographic—a joyfully soundtracked, ever-expanding, creative, heart-centered glittering disco ball of possibility—is now

She also voluntarily hosted a weekly radio program at the University of Canada on CJAM 91.5 FM called “Steamy Windows,” and later became a resident of world-renowned Club Motor in Hamtramck. In 2000 she was a featured performer at the first Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and has since become a regular fixture at Movement.

In December 1996 Minx founded Women on Wax, a collective of female DJs from the Metro Detroit area. From then on, she worked with promoters and DJs across the country to solidify the career of several top female DJs and singers.

In 2001, Minx established her own record label called Women On Wax Recordings, which has become a platform for her own productions (including the 2003 classic, “A Walk In The Park”) an outlet for local talent. Minx expanded her musical majesty by creating a sub-imprint of the label called W.O.W. B.A.M. Stimulator Jones w/ Billy Crystal Fingers

Stimulator Jones w/ Billy Crystal Fingers

Tickets!

Stimulator Jones, aka Samuel Jones Lunsford, is a stunningly versatile multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, beatmaker, producer, DJ, and songwriter born and raised among the nature and wildlife of Roanoke, VA.

After 13 years of work in a plethora of different bands, he adopted the Stimulator Jones moniker at the end of 2013 and began self-releasing music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp. In 2015 these creations attracted the attention of Sofie Fatouretchi - DJ, musician and former employee of Boiler Room and Stones Throw Records. “Soon Never Comes” appeared on her ‘Sofie’s SOS Tape’ compilation the following year and led to an album deal with Stones Throw.

His debut LP ‘Exotic Worlds and Masterful Treasures’ was released in the summer of 2018, wholly comprising material that he wrote, performed, recorded, and mixed himself. ‘Exotic Outtakes’, an EP of leftover tracks from the album sessions, was released that fall in conjunction with a US tour. In the summer of 2019 he traveled to Asia for a string of shows in Japan and South Korea.

In May 2020 pop superstar Billie Eilish included "Soon Never Comes" on 'Billie Eilish At Home', an Amazon Music playlist she curated during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns, in addition to posting the song on her Instagram story twice that year.

January of 2021 marked the release of ‘La Mano’ in collaboration with Oslo-based independent label Mutual Intentions - an instrumental jazz/funk/fusion album that placed his musicianship at the forefront and featured no sampled or programmed sounds. The title track “La Mano” was selected by legendary UK DJ Gilles Peterson for inclusion on the Brownswood Recordings compilation ‘Brownswood Bubblers 12’.

An instrumental beat anthology, ‘Low Budget Environments Striving For Perfection’, was released in July 2021 on Stones Throw - a dusty document of his lifelong love for hip hop production consisting of raw beats crafted on various samplers and hardware over the course of multiple decades.

Another album of vocal-oriented material, ‘Round Spiritual Ring’, followed on Stones Throw in July 2022 - a continuation of what had begun with his debut album, but bravely displaying an even wider sonic palette and more expansive lyrical themes.

Samuel continues to compose and perform music on a regular basis in addition to setting magical moods and crafting infectious energy through his DJ sets. 2024 holds many exciting developments in store; a series of EP's consisting of funky, club-friendly deep house music is currently in the works through the Chicago-based indie label Star Creature, a mini LP of Drum & Bass music will be released by Scotland-based electronic label Craigie Knowes, and a vinyl compilation of archival material from the years 1999-2005 will be released by the UK reissue label Be With Records.

Kim Ann Foxman

Tickets!

Hawaii-born, San Francisco-seasoned, and NYC-based musician Kim Ann Foxman has always been a capital-R Raver. The label owner, singer, and queer-musical-icon got her start as a high schooler blending fruit smoothies at an all-ages club while acts like Deee-Lite performed on the stage behind her. In 1995, when Kim moved from the island of Oahu to San Francisco, she spent her weekends chasing down map points to dance under the stars and warehouses of Funky Tekno Tribe and Bassex parties. The look and sound of raving have transformed many times over in the three decades since, but so too has Kim evolved; as a solo artist releasing records via her Firehouse & self:timer labels or as a vocalist for her club hits (“Creature”) and as a singer on the first two Hercules & Love Affair LPs.

Regardless of the space and time, whether she is performing at nightclubs (Berghain, Bassiani, DC-10), or festivals (Honcho, Pitch Arts, Sónar), rest assured that one of Kim’s time-tested rave anthems will be in her DJ-bag. Rinsing a 30-year-old anthem is one of the many ways KAF has alchemized and honored that hard-to-describe feeling of the records she produces and plays, the groovy timeless sound of the rave. A sound that has captured the hearts of artists like Robyn, Erasure, and the XX or fashion brands like Gucci and Alexander McQueen. Her latest project, “Pleasure Planet” finds her in band mode again with an incoming LP.

Pleasure Planet continues Kim’s careerlong foray into capturing the psychedelic, communal, and intentional feeling of her roots as a P.L.U.R.ist and basshead. Kim’s commitment to craft, subtlety, and good vibes has rewarded her with a fanbase that feels more like a crew. Together they hold the giant folding map navigating to where this trippy music will take them next.

Baby Weight with Riffa

Tickets

Baby Weight, aka Cara Eser, is a DJ, producer, and label boss from Washington, D.C. who has gained notoriety for her “chunky” style of dance music. Her genre bending sound, dynamic DJ sets, and advocacy for more inclusivity within dance music has earned her the respect and support of peers like Walker & Royce, The Blessed Madonna, Claude VonStroke, Claptone, Shiba San, Justin Martin, DJ Sliink, LP Giobbi, VNSSA, Kevin Knapp, Noizu, and Idris Elba among others.

In 2017, Eser started the label Chub Rub which she uses to showcase emerging sounds from under the radar artists across the house music spectrum. This has led to a cult following curated around quirkiness, community, and diversity. In 2019, her debut album ‘Phases’ peaked in multiple Top 10 charts on Beatport which spawned an equally popular remix album the following year.

In 2020, she publicly came out as transgender citing a need to address her transition as an artist as well as in her personal life. Later that year, her track “Rave Police” reached #1 paving the way to a wider audience. In 2021, Eser was featured in Mixmag’s ‘Impact’ series leading to debuts on BBC Radio 6, Diplo’s Revolution on SiriusXM, and appearances at multiple festivals including Dirtybird Campout, EDC Vegas, Hard Summer, and Firefly Music Festival.

In 2022, Baby Weight released “House Princess” featuring Karnage Kills on Femme House’s first ever compilation to both commercial and critical acclaim — including a feature in Calvin Klein’s Pride campaign for that year. With an undeniable energy and music steeped in emotional integrity, Baby Weight is quickly becoming an industry darling in electronic music.

Elliott & Casey West B2B

For the past 15+ years, Elliott Burton aka ELLIOTT, has been digging, collecting, mixing and sharing the soundtrack of his life with the world from his hometown of Richmond, VA, and through his love and passion of the craft he’s found himself alongside some of the industry greats such as DJ Minx, DJ Holographic, Soul Clap and (brother-brother) Keenan Orr. For his sound, ELLIOTT draws from the energy and motion of the underground and blends it with the sometimes erotic passion and raw emotion of classic soul, then sprinkles in the psychedelic sounds of the seventies for a remarkable style donned “psicodélica sensual” (or sensual psycedelica) by The Jungle Room resident and Richmond native. Each of his sets takes us on a journey through space, time and culture, so strap in, and enjoy the ride.

Emerging from the vibrant underground dance scene of Richmond, Virginia, Casey West arrives as an eager newcomer. Casey's sound weaves the infectious energy of Disco, the heart-rending melodies of Soul, the entrancing rhythms of Deep House, and the raw authenticity of Garage, creating an experience that fuels dance floors with undeniable energy. Casey's passion lies in the art of igniting movement and unleashing the euphoria of dance, creating an electric atmosphere where bodies become instruments of rhythm and the dance floor transforms into a sacred space of liberation and self-expression.
